Diary Notes and thoughts from the garden, from the kitchen, cultural and otherwise little of everything that interests me. With simple means we can create a good mood and give ourselves a little fastcad lift. Set the table nicely also for everyday and when you are all alone. The belief that good ingredients, fresh herbs, fruits and vegetables provide pleasure and health are important to me. All senses to be activated to get a full experience, stimulating taste, smell, sight and hearing, and the experience is complete.
Everyday life is not all gray, it is up to us. Eating we do anyway, why not make it a joy in everyday life. This is my contribution and encouragement to family and friends. IN A STRANGE WAY Fragrances WARM WHEAT DOUGH synonymous with Christmas spirit for me. Every Christmas Eve early morning fastcad I put a little wheat dough crammed full of raisins. It is fully baked at midday. When it is ready to be a supplement to the Christmas porridge fastcad that we have at one time. Between us said so are not all equally fond of porridge, but you know the almond lures for the smallest or maybe for everyone. Wheat cake or Christmas cake I make is slightly different than my usual wheat dough. I put for example 3 dl milk 1,5 dl raisins to soaking overnight. This is the basis of wheat dough. I use fresh yeast. The simple reason is that I never got dry yeast to work properly and that I expect. This time I made one before Christmas and because I needed a snack beside a cup of tea and a guest. Round, golden and fine, nam nam This time I set up to have the dough into a round, fastcad small cake tin. It was quite sweet and nice in shape. The recipe I used was as follows: 25 to 30 gr fresh yeast 3 -4 dl milk 1,5 dl raisins 0.5 cups candied peel or apsikat. (Can be omitted) 80 gr margarine 80-100 gr sugar 1/2 tsp turmeric (can be omitted ) 1/2 tsp cardamom about 500 gr Flour (7/5 cup) 1 egg Put raisins soaked in milk the night before. Melt the butter in a saucepan and then pour the milk with raisins over. Make sure the temperature, it shall only up to 37 C, finger warm. The yeast stirred in a bowl for about 0.5 dl of cold milk. How are graded easier to get yeast spread the dough. Then pour the butter and milk / raisin mixture over yeast. Add the sugar, fastcad cardamom and possible. Turmeric. Flour, I have so I'm happy with the consistency of the dough. It's not often I weigh the flour, then take the specified amount with a pinch of salt. I let the dough rise for as long as possible.
